FUNCTIONAL FABRICS

'Show me what you're wearing, and I'll tell you who you are.'

We're big fans of Nature, and we believe using natural fibers is the best thing to do for ourselves and the environment. Because of their exceptional thermal properties and biodegradability. That is why we use wool, TENCEL ™, and micromodal to produce our collections.

MERINO WOOL

Baby, it's cold outside!

Second-skin

When it gets cold, every layer of clothing counts and the first one that is closest to your body has particular importance.

Thermoregulation

This very first layer is responsible for thermal comfort. For each of us, it means something else - we are born with different sensitivity to cold. Some of us suffer more from it, while others have better tolerance to low temperatures. Therefore, the best material for winter underwear is thermoactive and breathable. One that regulates your body temperature and reacts to changes in ambiance. It warms your body when you go out and does not allow you to overheat when you enter your home, your office, a bar, or a shop.

Nature-born

Nothing beats merino wool in terms of thermoactive properties. This breed of sheep, residing mainly in Australia and New Zealand, is particularly resistant to extreme temperatures and tolerates both heat and cold. And it translates directly into the properties of the knitwear.

Silky-touch

The merino fleece gives the most elegant and soft yarn, which produces a wool variety called ultrafine merino. A single filament is less than 18,5 microns in diameter - it's thinner and more flexible than human hair. It feels like silk on the skin is highly resistant to pilling and makes a great base material for lingerie.

Tradition and innovation

Our products are currently made of high-end ultrafine merino knitwear, weighing 150 g/m2, ethically produced in the EU by an established mill with a great passion for knitted fabrics and sustainable approaches. The material contains a small percentage of elastam addition, which makes our tops, bottom, and bodysuits ultimately comfortable to wear.

Easy-care

The ultrafine merino wool is easy to handle. It is machine-washable (at 30 °C) and dries very quickly. It has antibacterial properties and is odor-resistant. As a rule, it is a very durable fiber - it gets worn out several times slower than cotton. It will serve you for many winters if you treat it appropriately. Detailed care tips are in the description of each product, on care labels, and hang-tags.

Sustainable

Wool is easily renewable and biodegradable, so when your merino underwear ends its life, it will not harm the ecosystem. It is easy to recycle or dispose of in an environmentally safe way. While working on the LOVE ON THE SNOW brand and collection, we tried to imply as many eco-design principles as possible.

TENCEL ™ Lyocell

One of its most significant advantages is that it provides the skin with optimal comfort, mainly because it's very soft and quickly dries. And since the Lyocell fibers are easily combined with other natural fibers such as cotton, silk, or wool, it's often used to create luxurious and functional fabrics. It helps to improve the appearance and performance, especially thermo-activity of the material, resistance to wear and damage, moisture absorption, and breathability.

For these reasons, in the latest AW 21_22 collection, we're using a blend of merino wool with TENCEL ™ Lyocell. What does this mean for you? Extra comfort when it suddenly gets warmer, and you will not feel any discomfort caused by the rise in body temperature.

The merino and TENCEL ™ Lyocell fabric has a super smooth, satin structure and a more intense color.

What's equally important to us is that TENCEL ™ Lyocell is biodegradable, and its production occurs in the so-called closed cycle. The fiber comes from easily renewable raw materials (More than 99 percent of wood comes from sustainable forestry. It is certified or controlled according to FSC® (FSC-C041246) and / or PEFC ™ (PEFC/06-33-92).) using environmentally safe chemicals. Water consumption in the production of Tencel is also several times lower than in the case of cotton. Lyocell technology only requires about one third of the process water needed in the viscose technology.

MICROMODAL WITH SILK

Baby, it's hot outside!

A state-of-the-art, easy-to-clean fiber with a phenomenal shine - micromodal is one of the most outstanding achievements of material engineering in the last decade. It was created as a better version of viscose, with all its advantages and without disadvantages. The impetus for work on this artificial, although at the same time naturally derived fiber, was, among others, the industry's concern for the environment. Although we cannot avoid chemicals in the production process, it is worth emphasizing that micromodal production requires less water than cotton.

Interestingly, this super-fabric absorbs 50% more moisture than cotton and is more breathable than cotton. It makes it an ideal first or only layer when we want to protect the body from overheating and when we do not like the feeling of sweating. Also, it does not cause allergies and breaks records in terms of softness. And when in contact with the skin, it has a beautiful cooling effect.

We've been looking for a perfect summer equivalent of merino wool, and we ended up being seduced by the micromodal and silk blend. The knitwear is amazingly smooth and significantly improves thermal comfort on long summer days and short hot nights. See for yourself!
