How to wash natural fibers

Clothes made of natural fibers such as merino wool or silk require care, but contrary to appearances, hand washing is not ideal for them either. Therefore, wash our products in the washing machine, but remember a few rules:

  1. maximum cycle temperature is 30 ℃
  2. set the wool washing program or the so-called "hand wash" (it maintains a constant temperature, and it is its rapid change that is most damaging to wool)
  3. use a laundry bag - it will additionally protect against mechanical damage
  4. remember not to wear underwear together with clothes that have metal elements (zippers, rivets, hooks, etc.) - they can damage both the knitwear and delicate lace
  5. avoid intense spinning
  6. fabric softeners (as they destroy wool fibers) and bleaches
  7. mechanical drying
  8. and if you use an iron, turn off the steam.
